An example of this would be if an existing customer of an ecommerce store decides to buy something as a gift for a friend, and enters the friend’s address to receive the delivery. Thus, the customer’s original delivery address (and actual delivery address) would be wiped clean and replaced by the friend’s address. This will make the store’s data inaccurate, leading to issues in segmentation and reporting, while forcing the customer to re-enter their address the next time they purchase, which is a negative customer experience overall.
